The Apple iPad is the biggest buzzing gadget in technology right now. There have been rumors of Apple's tablet, reader, and larger iPod for a while but it's finally been confirmed and I have all the juicy details and rumors…

The Apple iPad has finally been unveiled and information has been released to the public (from under Steve Job's turtleneck). The much anticipated features, price, and possible release dates have been confirmed (and rumored) and following is what's in stock for us would-be Apple iPad owners.

The Features

When the Apple iPad hits the scene it'll be like when the”schtick” hits the fan. This new supercharged iPhone will be the biggest competitors for netbooks, smartphones, ebooks readers, and even laptops. Just looking at the following features will leave no doubt in your mind that once the iPad is released, other tech companies will be given a run for their money.

The Apple iPod will be as slim as the iPhone and weigh only 1.5 lbs; less than netbooks and perfect for using on the go. The iPad will also feature a 9.7 inch vibrant touch screen, which is brighter than the Kindle, Sony, Reader, and rivals netbooks and smartphones. There's Wi-Fi, 3G, and Bluetooth support on the new iPad device with added microphone, speakers, and all on a strong 10 hr. Battery. The iPad will be released with a 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB version to fit a wide array of customer's needs.

The Apple iPad will feature internet browsing using Apple's Safari browser (of course) and has an on screen QWERTY touch pad for typing online. Browsing on the iPad's 9.7 inch screen will be similar but faster than browsing on a 10 inch netbook. Unfortunately the Safari browser doesn't feature support for Adobe Flash which will be a bummer when browsing the web or trying to play flash games online. Fortunately, you'll still be able to visit your favorite websites, send emails or browse your favorite social networking sites on the go once the iPad is released.

The iPad, like the iPhone, will feature support for pictures, music, and video playback. It's hard to imagine how Apple can promise a 10 hour battery with supped up features like video and music playback on a 9.7 touch screen, but we'll have to wait and see. You'll be able to view your favorite movies, listen to your best music playlists, and view large sized photos after the Apply iPad is released.

Ebook readers will face a huge slap in the face once the Apple iPad is released on the market. We're used to viewing black and white e-Ink screens like the ones featured on the Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader, but the Apple iPad will revolutionize the way we read ebooks and view newspapers. The Apple iPad gives ebook fans the feature they've always wanted with an ebook reader; color. Not only will color be a main feature of the Apple iPad, but this “super ereader” will also feature faster response time, and a touch screen interface that will likely crush its competitors; the Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader.

The iPad will dazzle its users with tons of features but what will shock most would-be Apple iPad owners is its app support and full support of all iPod Apps. Just like a large sized hulk-like iTouch and iPhone, the Apple iPad will be able to run games and other awesome apps from the apple app store. What's even better is that unlike the iPhone or iTouch, you'll be able to run these cool apps and games on a 9.7 inch touch screen.

Apple iPad's Price

With all the cool features of the soon to be released (more on that later) Apple iPad, you'll figure there has to be a “catch” (usually price). Early rumors alleged that the price of the Apple tablet (before name was released) would be over $1,000. Luckily the price of the Apple iPad isn't that high, but can price close to $1,000 depending on the version you buy. The price of the iPad will start at a low price of only $499.99 and will be available for purchase before it's released, as early as March 10, 2010.

The price of the iPad will vary depending on the model you buy. The 16 GB iPad is priced at $499.99, and the price goes up $100 for each upgrade; $599.99 for the 32GB iPad and $699.99 for a 64 GB iPad. To get the 3G models you'll have to add an additional $130 price tag to each model ($629 16GB, $729.99 32GB, and $829.99 64 GB).

To get wireless access there are pay-as-you-go AT&T plans that come at a price of $15 per month for 250MB of use and $30 for unlimited data usage. No contracts are required for the AT&T wireless plans, access is free at AT&T hotspots (with a plan) and you are able to cancel your plan at any time.

Rumored Release Date

The Apple iPad is rumored to be released in April 2010 with the ability to pre-order as early as March 2010. The release date is coming soon (allegedly) and will be a huge hit when it hits the market. If you plan on buying an Apple iPad, I strongly recommend pre-ordering before it's released or the chances of you owning one (without an added price on eBay) will be slim to none.
